CHESICC Presented on CACIE 2014

CHESICC participated in International Forum on Service for Self-funded Study Abroad on CACIE 2014 and made a presentation about “electronic service for China credentials verification” on Oct. 25th in Beijing.

The presenter Dr. Cheng Weixing introduced CHESICC’s student info service platforms, qualification database, verification services and the cooperative models with foreign institutions. His speech shared thoughts and experience in the field of verification of Chinese student’s credentials and how international electronic data transfer could serve as a better practice for students and educational institutions.

The following speaker, Thomas Black, Vice Provost of Stanford University, shared Stanford’s experience on how to prevent document fraud and how the pilot of electronic credentials exchange between CHESICC, CollegeNET, and Stanford helped to reduce fraud and increase college registrar’s working efficiency.

As one of the unique features of CACIE 2014, Forum on Service for Self-funded Study Abroad Services focused on the theme of ‘Policy, Standard, and Quality’. It served as a solid platform for international educators to exchange ideas, develop new policies and discover the latest trends. More than 100 international educators from China and abroad attended this forum.

The forum brought together the top visionaries and practitioners in international education. The combined agenda provided real-world case study examples, as well as actionable takeaways on how international educators can better target, engage and convert prospects into reality.

The CACIE 2014 with the theme “Education, Career, Future”, organized by CEAIE (China Education Association for International Exchange), being the largest conference in the field of international education and exchange in China, had 12 sessions, over 40 activities, and brought together over 300 speakers, over 2000 participants.
